Because some of you loved these raw balls so much I thought I’d share the recipe with you. They are super easy, require no baking and are really versatile. So long as you have the core ingredients you can add in or leave out whatever takes your fancy.
When I first made them I had no measurements so I just guessed the amount per ingredient and hoped for the best. I can’t really put up a recipe and use the measurement ‘just guess’ as that would be both unhelpful and a little pointless. So I had another run at it and noted it all down. This makes around 8-9 large balls. So here goes:
Core Ingredients:
Oats – 5 tablespoons
Nut butter (i used sunpat peanut butter as they don’t use palm oil) – 3 tablespoons
Honey – 1.5 tablespoons
Cacao powder – 1 tablespoon
Coconut oil – 1 teaspoon
ADDED EXTRAS (I used)
Chia and flaxseed mix – 1 tablespoon
Maca powder – 1 teaspoon
Supergreen powder – 1 teaspoon
Cherries/raisens/goji berries/sesame seeds/desiccated coconut ect
Method:
Start with the base ingredients first then add whatever extras you like. I used a tupperware container and a spatula to mix, the mixture gets very sticky so a spoon can be tricky.
Mix it all up until it becomes a stickyish mixture you can mould into balls.
Put the balls in the fridge to set for 2-3 hours.
EAT, be energised and enjoy.
